I am a passionate illustrator who has done many projects with successful outcomes. I like to get inspiration from many places and people. The natural world is one source but others are machinery and buildings, books and film, as well as architecture and machines, and all sorts of other things I may not be aware of.. My studies took me to Pratt Institute where I had a lot of figure drawing classes with professional illustrators, while completing an Industrial Design major. I also traveled abroad, painting and seeking inspiration. A modern sensibility allowed my work to be embraced in many creative environments. One example was a case for a architecture model I made that was a success at Barneys NY, and Tokyo, as a leather bag. Whether it is a 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional project, my eye for whimsy, color and shape is strong. I like to illustrate stories for children's books, editorial, and educational environments. I use traditional materials as well as digital tools. I also have a Boutique Hotel business which allows me to do a lot of illustration in between managing the hotel with my wife Patricia. I am looking for opportunities to display my talent in illustration graphics for not only children, but adult as well.
